Hwa Rang Kwan New York features five Kickboxing classes each week, taught by Senior Instructor Micah.

WHAT IS KICKBOXING?
Kickboxing is an informal modern martial art that combines the basics of boxing (hand techniques and movement) with the powerful kicks, knees and elbow strikes of Muay Thai.

Kickboxing techniques are practical and useful. The classes make you fitter and stronger and you'll burn hundreds of calories without even thinking about.

ARE THE CLASSES SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS?
Yes! All of our classes are taught by Senior Instructor Micah Ehler, and beginners receive detailed instruction on the correct mechanics of each of the basic punching and kicking techniques.


First-time students are recommended to come to our 6:40 Tuesday & Thursday Beginners Kickboxing classes.

HOW MANY CLASSES ARE THERE?
We offer five classes classes per week, including Beginners Kickboxing every Tuesday and Thursday at 6.40pm. 

All classes are open to students of all levels, although we recommend that beginners stick to Beginners Kickboxing for at least the first couple of weeks.

Kickboxing students are also encouraged to attend our Monday-Thursday 6.00pm, and our Saturday 9:30am Bootcamp classes. 

DO YOU TEACH AEROBIC KICKBOXING?
No. You can expect to learn American Kickboxing and Muay Thai skills, with a heavy emphasis on boxing and hand techniques. Expect plenty of power punching and kicking, plus some light contact drills, all while getting a great workout!

WHAT ARE KICKBOXING CLASSES LIKE?
A typical class starts with a jump rope to warm up, followed by a round of shoulder taps, a round of core work, and a series of stretches. We often do calisthenics and foot work drills then spend time on partner drills, which may involve using focus mitts, Thai pads, and/or kicking shields. We usually finish with a light core and upper body workout.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Just wear comfortable workout clothing. We always work out barefoot. To be fully equipped, you will need hand wraps, gloves, a jump rope, and a bottle of water - all of which we offer for sale.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
An intro Kickboxing costs just $10.00, and that includes a free pair of hand wraps.

If you would like to sign up for a membership, Kickboxing costs between $105.00 and $135.00 per month (call or email for more details). With all of our memberships you can attend as many classes each week as you wish, including the Boot Camp classes.

WHAT ARE YOUR FACILITIES LIKE?
We are currently sharing space with Geneva Fit Club. We have a beautiful, newly renovated, dedicated space located in the back of Geneva Fit Club in Downtown Geneva. Our 825 sq ft workout area is equipped with new mats, and a wall of full-length mirrors. We have four restrooms, locker rooms, and showers.
